In the summer of 2021, there's a constant level of uncertainty in how our service to society will be able to include the significant human connection experienced by Rotary members in previous times. Although the mantra of hands face space' is sure to be part of our ongoing program, it's clear that confidence is building and connections between face-to-face are happening. But Rotary has evolved. However, there is a certain amount of uncertainty that will continue to grow as we progress into summer 2021. It remains to be seen if those human connections Rotary members valued previously will be maintained. Even though the "hands in space" idea is likely to become a regular routine at the club There's no doubt that the feeling of security is growing and more members have been able to make connections face-to-face. But Rotary has changed. Rotary has evolved. Our practices have been refined to keep online meetings at the forefront of our organizations, and we are introducing services and social activities in a face-toface format. The new possibilities have been combined with our most effective pre-pandemic strategies to create a new and bright future for Rotary. In a Rotary survey that was conducted in the past, it was encouraging to find the fact that 75% the clubs had plans for their regular activities and projects which have previously benefited communities across Great Britain and Ireland. It's great to know that the Rotary support centre team provides important resources to assist with the development and maintenance of the infrastructure, keeping both members and the public safe. Compliance and insurance are equally important. It's amazing to observe the way our members have developed innovative ways to solve certain of the most challenging problems. I'm so grateful to be a part of the team. Rotary allowed me to become a member in 2002. Rotary gave me a trusted network with like-minded people which has led to the creation of friendships that are genuine.
